ST. LOUIS - Sam Huesgen was named the SLIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week after his complete game shutout against conference opponent Greenville last Saturday.
With the win, Huesgen improved his record this season to 4-2.
He went the full nine innings, allowing just five hits, one walk, and striking out 10. The scoreless game moved his ERA down to 1.24 on the season.
The Blue Jays travel to Blackburn Wednesday for a conference matchup against the Beavers. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
