FULTON, Mo. - Tanner Branneky smashed his 26th career home run to break his brother, Tyler Branneky's, career home run record in the team split against Eureka.
Westminster honored its six seniors in between games, including A.C. Long, Justin Riggins, Ryan Gvillo, Nick Cessna, Tanner Branneky, and Russell Wohldman.
The team moves to 18-11 on the year and 13-8 in the conference.
In game one, Westminster got out to a slow start, maintaining a 3-2 lead into the fifth inning.
In the fifth, the Blue Jays batted around and lineup and scored seven runs on RBI from Will Stonecipher, Ryan Gvillo, Mason Price, and a three-run home run from A.C. Long.
In the second game, Westminster got on the board first with a solo blast in the second inning from Branneky to break the record.
Ryan Klimkiewicz and A.C. Long each added RBI singles in the inning to bring the score to 3-0 in favor of Westminster.
The Red Devils answered in the fourth inning with a grand slam on top of an RBI single. They added another run in the sixth.
Westminster attempted a comeback with a run on a sacrifice fly from Stonecipher, but it wasn't enough to earn the win.
Westminster plays in the rubber match against Eureka at home Sunday at 1 p.m.
