Ryan Clavin was tabbed the SLIAC Newcomer of the Year while six total Blue Jays earned spots on All-Conference teams.
Clavin proved to be one of the most effective utility men in the league, appearing in 33 games and recording a .336 batting average. He led the Blue Jays in home runs this season with eight, which was also tied for first in the SLIAC, and was second on the team in hits (41) and RBI (34). He also appeared in 12 games as a pitcher, starting in four, and pitching his way to a record of 5-3. Of his four starts, two of them were complete games. Clavin was second on the team in ERA at 4.46.
Clavin was also one of the two Blue Jays named to the All-Conference first team, along with senior Nick Bohlmann.
Along with being a staple in the Blue Jay outfield in center, Bohlmann led the team in hits (42) and batting average (.408). His .408 batting average was also good enough for fourth in the conference.
Ian Cassidy and Blake Strebler were each named to the All-Conference second team.
Strebler was second in the conference in slugging percentage while leading the Blue Jays at .648. His on-base percentage of .476 also led the Blue Jays and placed fourth in the SLIAC.
Cassidy proved to be a dominant force on the mound this season for Westminster, posting a record of 7-2. His seven wins were good enough for third-most in the SLIAC, while his 63 strikeouts placed him sixth in the conference. Cassidy's 3.54 ERA also earned him a spot in the top 10, at ninth-best.
Earning spots on the All-Conference third team were Brandon Beeler and Mason Price.
Beeler was a solid presence behind the plate for Westminster all season. He posted a .314 batting average and a .419 on-base percentage to be a contender at the plate as well, recording 32 hits and 17 RBI.
Price was one of the top hitters for Westminster this season. He was fifth in the conference in home runs with six, including his walkoff grand slam late in the season to defeat Fontbonne. He lead the Blue Jays in RBI with 38, which was fourth-best in the conference, and his .570 slugging percentage placed him eighth in the conference.
Zach Eisenreich was also named the Westminster representative on the All-Sportsmanship team for his constant display of sportsmanship throughout the season.
