Dakota Jakoubek earned the first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week award for the Blue Jays this season, including the first of the freshman's career.

Jakoubek was a terror as a defensive end for Westminster and a crucial part of the defense that held Minnesota-Morris to just seven points, including a shutout first half. 

He added 2.5 sacks for a loss of 14 yards in the game and tallied four tackles, including three solo. 

Westminster travels to Crown College this weekend for a Saturday 12 p.m. matchup.
