Robert Barron joins the Westminster football staff in August 2018 as the wide receivers coach. 

Barron comes to the Blue Jays from the West Texas Lions semi-pro football team, where he was an assistant coach and strength and conditioning coach since November of 2017. While with the Lions, he coached the running backs and assisted with special teams and quarterbacks. Barron also assisted with recruitment and film breakdown.

Prior to his time with the Lions, Barron worked with various fitness centers to provide personalized, one-on-one training with with clients and athletes. 

He served as the Assistant Football Coach and Football Conditioning Coach at St. Laurence High School for three seasons. Along with those duties, he served as the defensive coordinator for the sophomore team during that time. 

Barron graduated from Western Illinois University in 2014 with a degree in exercise science.
