FULTON, Mo. - Westminster men's basketball earned an 88-73 win over Kansas Christian behind 30 points and a perfect night from Romo Tabb.

The Blue Jays improve to 10-4 with the win, their fifth consecutive.

Tabb was 100% from the field and the freethrow line at 9-9 and 11-11, respectively, to record a game-high 30 points.

"After having Saturday's game rescheduled due to weather, I'm very happy we were able to get a game under our belts as we head back into conference play," said Westminster Head Coach Matt Mitchell. "Over the past few days, we have been able to get some guys some much-needed rest. This was a game to get them back in the flow."

The Blue Jays took an early 15-2 lead after just four minutes of play on top of seven points from Tabb.

Westminster went up by at many as 18 in the first 10 minutes of play, but Kansas Christian continued to fight to stay in the game.

Back-to-back layups from Sean O'Brien in the final three minutes of the half gave the Blue Jays a 44-24 lead. Two freethrows from Tabb made the 22-point lead the largest of the game thus far for Westminster.

Westminster went into the half with a 50-29 lead.

Kansas Christian pulled back within 14 points in the opening minutes of the half, but Tabb answered with five straight points of his own to keep the 20-point lead for Westminster.

Kansas Christian opened up a 9-0 run starting with 10 minutes left in the game to come back within 15.

Another 7-0 run pulled the Falcons back within 11 with under five minutes to play, but seven made freethrows down the stretch from Nick Thomas kept the double-digit lead for the Blue Jays and solidified their win.

Adding to Tabb's 30 points, O'Brien and Cody Shaw each added 12.

"Romo and Sean clearly dominated today as they continue to lead us during this winning streak," said Mitchell.

Westminster goes back into SLIAC play with a 3 p.m. game at Fontbonne Saturday.
