FULTON, Mo. - Sean O'Brien scored a career-high 42 points, adding 20 rebounds, in the 118-113 Westminster loss to SLIAC opponent Greenville.

The loss snaps a winning streak of seven games. The Blue Jays falls to 12-5 overall and 8-2 in the SLIAC, still remaining in first place.

"This was a tough loss for our guys," said Westminster Head Coach Matt Mitchell. "Greenville played really well and their trapping and pressure took a toll on our guys."

After eight minutes of play, the Panthers took their largest lead of the game at 29-18. Westminster then went on a 15-3 run to tie the game back up at 33 with under nine minutes remaining in the game.

The Blue Jays retained a lead in the final five minutes of the game, until five points from the Panthers tied the game at 61 at halftime.

O'Brien added eight straight points by himself to open up the half, giving Westminster a six point edge.

The Panthers continued to go on small runs while O'Brien pulled Westminster back in the game. At the 13:29 mark, the Blue Jays were down 82-76, but a 9-2 run on O'Brien put the Blue Jays back on top.

A three-pointer from the Panthers with 5:26 remaining in the game put Greenville on top for the rest of the game despite the Blue Jays' efforts to keep up with the quick pace.

"We had some key possessions late in the game where we were not able to finish on offense and that really cost us," said Mitchell.

On top of O'Briens 42-point, 20-rebound double double, Romo Tabb poured in 23 points and eight rebounds. Carter Wands and Cody Shaw each scored in double-figures at 12 and points, respectively.

"Our guys played really hard tonight but unfortunately, we ran out of gas," said Mitchell.
