Westminster Men's Soccer Blows By Red Devils

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster men's soccer defeated Eureka on six goals from six players for a 6-0 decision.

Westminster improve to 7-3 and 3-1 in the SLIAC. Eureka falls for 6-4-1 overall. 

"We talked before the match about coming out to a fast start and putting them undera lot of pressure, and we definitely did that tonight," said Westminster Head Coach Adam Galla. "Everyone who stepped in did a great job." 

Kyle Collins started the scoring barrage in the fourth minute on a cross from Drake Trease

Tanner Touslee added the second Blue Jay goal in the 12th minute on a ball from Mauricio Mateo

Dustin Seibolt made the score 3-0 on a pass from Kyle Collins. Seibolt netted the ball in the opposite corner across the goal. 

Jephte Ngendo added his first collegiate goal to close out the half for Westminster. He put the ball in the back of the net after a pass to the top of the box from Touslee. 

The scoring slowed until the 82nd minute on a goal from Drake Trease, given to him by Ngendo. 

Peter Gerber closed out the victory with the sixth Westminster goal in the 88th minute. Trease gacve him a cross that he was able to put in the opposite corner. 

Westminster outshot Eureka 39-2 with seven attempts from Trease. Ben Chesher made one save in goal.

Westminster travels to Greenville Tuesday for a 7 p.m. matchup.

"It was a nice win for us and we will get refocused for a big game against Greenville Tuesday," said Galla.
