
The Westminster men's track and field team competed in the Jim Green Invitational hosted by Illinois College on Saturday. The Blue Jays had seven compete, but did not have a team score.
On the Track
Freshman Latif Adams placed 33rd in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.57. Junior Dan Breihan and sophomore Tj Tjikuzu placed 41st (7.75) and 42nd (7.80), respectively.
Tjikuzu also competed in the 200-meter 400-meter dash. He finished the 200 .01 seconds after Adams who placed 50th with a time of 25.35. He placed 39th in the 400 with a time of 56.73.
Senior Daniel Lindaman and freshman Glenn Teubner each ran the 5000-meter run, placing 13th and 14th with times of 16:24.12 and 16:45.24, respectively.
On the Field
Breihan jumped 5.48 meters in the long jump, placing 20th.
Freshman Logan Shoemaker threw shot put, placing 21st with a throw of 12.29 meters. Junior Christian Houston also threw, placing 37th with a 10.72 throw.
The track & field teams close out the indoor season on Friday, February 20, at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge.
