Westminster Softball Adds Two Late Additions to 2019 Class

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster softball added two more late additions to the 2019 class, Allie Cook and Abigail Jaspering.

Allie Cook (Raytown, Mo./Raytown High School) was named to the All-Conference second team as an outfielder and was given the RHS Sportsmanship Award. An anticipated phsycology major, she was also a member of the Phi Kappa Theta honor society.

"I immediately fell in love with the campus and softball program," said Cook. "I knew that I did not want to go to a big school and love the small class sizes that Westminster offers. I also like that it is far enough that I can get away from home, but close enough that I can come home on the weekends. I am very excited for the opportunity to play softball for Westminster!"

Abigail Jaspering (Wright City, Mo. / Wright City) was a First Team All-District outfielder in both 2016 and 2017, along with being named to the All-Region and All-Conference teams in 2017. Jaspering anticipates being a pre-med major upon her arrival at Westminster.

"I chose Westminster because I loved the size and location of the college," said Jaspering. "After spending a day with the coaches and team I felt like I would fit right in. For my intended major they have a high acceptance rate into the workforce. Close to home, but still far enough away. It just felt like the place for me."
