Price, Tepen Earn SLIAC Player of the Week Award

Katie Price and Amber Tepen were chosen at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, respectively.

Price made six appearance on the mound, picking up four wins and just one loss, throwing three complete games. She tallied an ERA of 1.60, striking out 22 and allowing just 22 hits in 30.2 innings. Against Iowa Wesleyan, she threw a one-hitter on her way to earning the win. 

Tepen posted a .357 batting average on the week, tallying two home runs and 10 RBI. Tepen also notched two game-winning hits to help her team earn a regular season championship for the second year in a row. 

Westminster earned the regular season conference title and the No. 1 seed in the SLIAC Tournament, which opens play Thursday. The Blue Jays travel to ABC Park in St. Ann, Mo., and await their No. 4 seed opponent as the regular season comes to a close Monday evening.
