Price Named Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District

Katie Price was named to the Google Cloud CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District first team for her work on the field and in the classroom for the 2018 season.

Price, a sophomore in eligibility but a junior academically, was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year. She threw both a no-hitter and a perfect game in back-to-back conference games this season. In addition, she broke the season records for shutouts (five) and wins (14). She recorded an ERA of 2.20 with 122 strikeouts this reason. At the plate, she batted .350 with 27 runs batted in.

Price owns a perfect 4.0 grade point average and is a new member of Alpha Chi, the most prestigious academic honor society on campus. She is majoring in math and economics.

Her first team placement means she will move on to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in June.

In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at her current institution. Also, nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed. To view the full All-District Team visit here.
