Laidley, Price Land on NFCA All-Region Teams

Brooke Laidley and Katie Price each landed on a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Midwest All-Region team.

Laidley earned a spot on the first team and will automatically advance to the All-America ballot, announced May 24. 

Laidley led the team with an impressive .391 batting average after 128 at bats this season. She also posted an impressive .424 on-base percentage and .617 slugging percentage, blasting 15 doubles, a triple, and four home runs this season. 

At second base, Laidley posted 50 assists and a .975 fielding percentage, including four double plays this season. She was also named a first team selection for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this season. 

Price, adding to her accolades for the 2018 season, was an at-large selection to the All-Region third team. She was named Pitcher of the Year for the SLIAC, throwing both a no-hitter and a perfect game in back-to-back conference games this season. In addition, she broke the season records for shutouts (five) and wins (14). She recorded an ERA of 2.20 with 122 strikeouts this reason. At the plate, she batted .350 with 27 runs batted in.
