Westminster Softball Finishes Regular Season

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster softball dropped two games against NCAA Division II Quincy to complete the regular season.

Westminster finishes the year 13-19 overall and 13-5 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, awaiting their final seeding for the SLIAC Tournament. 

The Blue Jays were shut out in both games, with game two ending an inning early due to rain. Despite not being able to capitalize on scoring opportunities, Westminster outhit the Hawks in game one, 8-7, including multi-hit games from Hannah Schroeder and Mackenzie Myers

Madison Ingram and Bailee Zemianek split the seven innings, with Zemianek ultimately taking the loss with four innings pitched, giving up two runs on four hits. 

The Blue Jay defense picked up in game two, allowing just four runs through six innings, but Westminster was only able to add three hits to eventually take the 4-0 loss. 

Katie Price and Liz Davis split time on the mound, each pitching three innings. Price gave up just one run on two hits in three innings of work, while Davis took the loss with three earned runs on three hits. 

Westminster awaits the final seeding of the SLIAC Tournament, which it will host May 2-4 at Blue Jay Field.
