Arnold Selected as WBCA Convention Presenter

Westminster Women's Basketball Head Coach James Arnold has been selected to present at this year's Women's Basketball Coaches Association National Convention. The WBCA Convention takes place in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Women's Final Four and is held in Columbus, Ohio, March 28-April 1.

Arnold will be presenting on Friday, March 30, as part of the Roundtables and will be presenting "Playing Fast: Free Throw Break for All Levels."

Arnold just finished his first season at Westminster with a reocrd of 15-12 overall and 9-7 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, earning a bid into the postseason tournament. The Blue Jays played their way into the championship game, knocking off No. 1 seed Greenville in the tournament semifinals. During his first season, junior guard Kendahl Adams was named to the All-Conference First Team and freshman forward Grace Archambault was named the Newcomer of the Year. The squad also finished the year as the No. 2 rebounding team in the nation with a +15.4 rebounding margin. 

The WBCA's membership is composed of collegiate, high school, junior high school, club, youth, national, international and Olympic coaches. The WBCA is committed to serving its members and helping to grow women's basketball by providing educational programming, networking opportunities, information and news, legislative and rules updates, and acting as the collective voice of the membership to the NCAA and other governing bodies in the sport.
