Paige Townsend tallies two goals in Westminster's 5-1 victory over Lakeland.

Westminster improves to 1-1 on the season with the win. 

Lakeland opened up the scoring with a goal ninth minute, but after that, it was all Blue Jays. 

Gracie Koone started off the scoring fury with a goal in the 12th minute on an assist from Natalie Schulte. 

The Lakeland defense picked up to cause a 20-minute scoring drought, but Katharine Hammond finished out the second half with a goal on an assist from Heidi Gundy. Westminster went into the locker rooms up 2-1. 

Townsend scored her first goal of the game to open up the second half, assisted again by Schulte. Less than two minutes Later, Morgan Henry added a goal from Kaely Fitterling. 

Townsend ended the game on another assist from Schulte, ending the game with the Blue Jays up 5-1. 

Westminster continues the weekend with a match Sunday against Alverno. The match is set for 12:30 p.m.
