Westminster Women's Soccer Dominates Alverno

Westminster women's soccer tallied a dominating victory over Alverno, defeating the Inferno 9-0.

The Blue Jays improve to 2-1 on the year with the win.

Eight of the Westminster goals were scored in the first half, including the first two goals scored by Natalie Schulte. Schulte tallied eight points on the weekend on two goals and four assists.

Also scoring goals for the Blue Jays was freshman Isabel Peng, notching two goals in the game and the first two of her Blue Jay career.

Gracie Koonce, Paige Townsend, Morgan Henry, Lexi Hart, and Heidi Gundy each added goals of their own to help Westminster to the shutout win.

Freshman goalkeeper Emma Bergman is credited with the shutout between the posts. The Westminster defense kept the Inferno from recording any shots during the game.

The Blue Jays return home Friday and Saturday for home games against Simpson and Central.
