ST. LOUIS - Westminster women's soccer was overwhelmed by Webster, dropping the conference match 4-1 to the Gorlocks.
The Blue Jays fall to 5-6 overall and 2-2 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Westminster played 35 minutes of scoreless soccer to start the match, until the Gorlocks struck first in the 36th minute.
After one half, the Blue Jays found themselves down just one goal. Just 46 seconds into the second half, Paige Townsend netted her 13th goal of the season to tie the game at one goal apiece. Cara Wilfong assisted the Blue Jay goal.
In the final 20 minutes of the match, the Gorlocks went on to score three more goals and secure the win over Westminster.
Westminster returns home to face Spalding in a conference match Saturday at 7 p.m.
