Gundy Hat Trick Leads Westminster Women's Soccer Over Iowa Wesleyan

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster women's soccer adds another conference win, shutting out Iowa Weseylan 8-0, including a hat trick from senior Heidi Gundy.

The Blue Jays improve to 7-3-1 overall and 3-1 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. 

"Our past two matches have been a collective execution," said Westminster Head Coach Wendy Sanchez. "We've had quality performances and contributions from every player, which is great to see. These last two team wins and overall effort is something we build upon and continue to carry into conference play."

Westminster added five goals in the first half, which included two of Gundy's three goals. 

Cara Wilfong scored the last goal of the first half and the first goal of the second half to be the second Blue Jay to add multiple goals in the game. 

Isabel Peng, Gracie Koonce, and Madison Ekern also scored goals for Westminster. 

Sarah Cradick played all 90 minutes in goal, making one save. 

Westminster stays on the road to face MacMurray Saturday at 1 p.m.
