Greenville, IL 9/28/2022- The Westminster women's soccer team traveled to Greenville, Illinois, to take on the Panthers in a battle of two of the top three teams in the SLIAC. The Panthers struck in the first five minutes to take an early 1-0 lead. They would hold off the Blue Jays' attack for most of the game until the Blue Jays found the equalizing goal on a penalty kick at the 57:08 mark.

Annalise Beck (St. Louis, MO / Notre Dame High School) would capitalize on the opportunity after taking a hard foul in the box by the Panthers' defense. Beck would go top shelf to beat the Panthers goalie to tie the game 1-1. It was a perfectly placed ball to the top right corner. She would have two shots on goal in the game. The Blue Jays would have seven total shots on goal.

Megan Davidson (St. Louis, MO / Affton High School) would get the start in goal. She would fend off nine shots on goal after giving up the one early.

Greenville is now 4-3-2 on the year and 3-1-1 in the conference. Westminster picks up its second tie in conference play, giving them a record of 3-3-2 overall and 2-1-2 in the SLIAC.

The Blue Jays will host Spalding University on October 1st at 5:00 PM as part of the homecoming weekend.
