The Westminster women's tennis team fell to Webster University in their final conference match of the season, 5-1. The Blue Jays end their conference season with a 3-2 record and move to 4-6 on the season with one match left to play.
The Blue Jays started the match in singles play rather than doubles due to the coming rain. Westminster won their match point in the no. six spot. Freshman Kelsey Gerlach lost the first set, 6-2, but the match was retired due to an injury. Webster defeated the Blue Jays in the no. one, two, three and four spots. Sophomore Payton Beeler won the first set in the no. three spot, 6-4, but the match was unfinished due to rain.
Webster won their final match point by default in the no. two doubles spot.
The Blue Jays close out their regular season on Monday, April 25, with a home match versus Stephens College.
