Westminster Women's Tennis won their semi-final match of the SLIAC Tournament Friday against the Greenville Panthers, 5-0.
It was a successful day all around for the Blue Jays as they redeemed themselves after last year's tournament loss to the Panthers and will play in the championship match tomorrow.
Though the doubles matches were tight, the Blue Jays came out on top in all three of them. Clara Baldwin/Alexa McPherson, Sydney Attebery/Payton Beeler, and Laural Royer/Meaghan McGuire were the victorious teams on the day.
Because Westminster dominated doubles, they only needed two wins in singles to clinch the win. Sydney Attebery and Alexa McPherson came through for the Blue Jays with straight-set victories.
With the win, Westminster moves on to the championship match tomorrow, April 28th, against the Webster Gorlocks starting at 11:00am.
