Westminster's sophomore Taylor Howard earned eight points for the women's track and field team, leading them to a 15th place finish at Illinois College's True Blue Twilight.
Howard placed fifth in the pole vault with a 2.60-meter jump and in the 400-meter hurdles with a 1:13.09 race time. She also threw the javelin and placed 13th with a 23.10-meter throw.
Sophomore Talaysha Ruff also threw the javelin, placing 17th with a 20.88-meter throw. In the shot put, Ruff placed 17th with an 8.10-meter throw.
Freshman Katie Herzing rounded out the Blue Jay team in the 400-meter and 200-meter dash. She placed 10th in the 400-meter with a 1:14.33 race time and 21st in the 200-meter with a 34.11 time.
The Blue Jays close out their season at the SLIAC Invitational on Saturday, May 7. The meet will be held in Greenville, Ill.
