Westminster Track and Field Competed At Missouri Challenge

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Westminster track and field had several student-athletes compete at the Missouri Challenge over the weekend. 

Taylor Howard competed in four events for the Blue Jays, including the 60 meters, 400 meters, 4x400 relay, and the triple jump. She finished 10th in the 60 meters (8.77 seconds), 400 meters (1 minutes, 4.46 seconds), and the triple jump (9.50 meters). 

Charlotte Blair and Morgan Henry also competed in the 400 meters, finishing in 11th and 13th, respectively. 

Whitney Mitchhart finished in 16th place in the 200 meters with a time of 33.76 seconds and finished eighth in the 60-meter hurdles at 11.80.

Abby Beach finished the 800 meters in 15th place with a time of 2:46.07. 

Madison Zack and Sydney Pinkerton both ran the one mile race, finishing in 17th and 18, respectively. 

Beach, Henry, Howard, and Blair ran the 4x400 relay in 4:31.62, finishing in fourth. 

Abby Theroff represented the women's team in the throws, finishing in 17th place in the shot put. 

On the men's side, Ryan Dyer led the team by competing in two events, including the 400 meters and the 5000 meters. He finished eight in the 5K at 18:25, and 13th in the 400 with a time of 54.67.

Glenn Teubner finished in fifth place in the 5000 meter run, running the 5K in 17:08.65. 

Westminster track and field competes Feb. 25 at Principia for their final indoor event of the season.
