"It is a great honor for our conference coaches to think so highly of our chances in the SLIAC this year," states Head Coach Curtis Madson. "The conference continues to improve year in and year out, and we have our work cut out for us to live up to the expectations the conference coaches have set for us. I think this group has what it takes to get it done."

The Blue Jays return 10 from the 2015 team, including the SLIAC Player of the Year Hannah Marshall and two All-Conference players, Kayla Reeg and Amanda Kiso. The Blue Jays lost three from the 2015 roster, including four-time All-Conference recipient Lexi Collier, but they bring in six for the new year.

The Blue Jays open the 2016 season at the University of Northwestern Labor Day Tournament on Friday, September 2. They face St. Scholastica in the first game at 1:00 pm. They host Harris-Stowe for their home-opener on Tuesday, September 6, at 7:00 pm.
