Reeg, Kiso Sweep SLIAC Player of the Week Awards

ST. LOUIS - Kayla Reeg and Amanda Kiso earned the offensive and defensive SLIAC Player of the Week awards for their performances during the week of Sept. 18-Sept. 24. 

Westminster played four conference matches which led to an undefeated run to remain 8-0 in the SLIAC. The Blue Jays improved to 11-3 overall with the help of Reeg and Kiso. 

Reeg was an integral part of an offensive that overcame top-ranked opponents Greenville and Webster Saturday. She posted 180 assists for 10 assists per set, while recording 10 kills. In a five-set win over Webster, she tallied 56 assists, two kills, three blocks and 19 digs. 

Kiso put on a strong display at the net during the week with 24 blocks, 1.41 per set. She posted four solo blocks and 20 assist blocks, leaving her tired for first all-time in career blocks with 336. In a five-set win over Fontbonne, she helped her team with nine total blocks and a dig. 

The Blue Jays go on the road to face MacMurray Tuesday at 7 p.m.
