CARLINVILLE, Ill. - Westminster volleyball added two wins against Blackburn and Eureka while Kayla Reeg set the new program record for assists.
Westminster is now 18-10 overall and 14-3 in the conference just behind Greenville.
Kayla Reeg broke the assist record with her 4,385th assist, surpassing Hall of Famer Jennifer Whitaker (1996-99).
After the first win of the day, Head Coach Curtis Madson also set the program record for career wins with 74.
"Today we did an overall great job of executing our game plans," said Madson. "We are starting to see the work from the last few weeks of practice really show on the court."
The Blue Jays swept both matches 3-0. In the first match against Blackburn, the Blue Jays won 25-16, 25-15, 25-16, not letting the Beavers come close in any set. Ashley Kistaitis led the team with 11 kills. Reeg added 36 assists while Nikki Testerman led the team in digs with nine.
Kistaitis again led the team in kills in the second match against Eureka with 13. Reeg again recorded 36 kills to move her total to 72 on the day. Testerman again reorded nine digs to lead the Blue Jays.
"We handled adversity well today," said Madson. "We got somewhat unfocused in the final set of the day, but we did a great job of getting back together and digging deep. We pushed through to wrap up the match in three."
Westminster faces Greenville Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. for senior night. The game will serve as the deciding match in the winner of the regular season championship and the host of the SLIAC tournament.
