Marshall, Reeg Earn First Team All-Conference Honors

ST. LOUIS - Hannah Marshall and Kayla Reeg were selected for the SLIAC first team for their exceptional performances during the 2016 season. 

Marshall played in 31 matches for the Blue Jays and led the team in kills with 410 and attempts with 1,183. She also recorded 198 digs and led the squad with 67 aces.

During the season, Marshall set the career record for aces and joined the 1,000 kill club. She was named the SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week twice. 

Reeg also played in all 31 matches this season for Westminster, leading the team in assists with 1,191. She was second on the team in aces and digs with 46 and 349, respectively. 

Reeg broke the career record for assists at the end of the season. She also was named the SLIAC Defensive Player of the Week once. 

Along with Marshall and Reeg, Elizabeth Kelley was named to the SLIAC second team while earning the Newcomer of the Year Award. Kelley, the fresman middle hitter, recorded 233 kills and led the team in hitting percentage at .428. 

Amanda Kiso found a spot on the second team as well, leading the team in blocks with 102 along with breaking the career blocks record early in the season. She also recorded 229 kills and a .344 hitting percentage. 

To complete the postseaon awards for Westminster, Chyanne Schwerdt was named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship team.
