Westminster Volleyball Blanks Iowa Wesleyan, Will Battle Webster for Title

MT. ST. PLEASANT, Iowa - Westminster volleyball shut out Iowa Wesleyan 3-0 to tie Webster for first place. The Blue Jays will battle Webster for the regular season title Nov. 1.

The Blue Jays move to 16-9 overall and 15-2 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. 

Despite the Tigers' best effort to battle the Blue Jays, Westminster defeated Iowa Wesleyan by at least seven points each match, winning 25-18, 25-16, and 25-17. 

Leading the way for Westminster offensively was Ashley Kistaitis with a double-double in kills and digs. She led all hitters with 17 kills and tied for the lead in digs with 15. Libero Bridget Ringwald also tallied 15 kills. 

Teresa Becker recorded 37 assists to lead all setters. 

Westminster will battle the Webster Gorlocks at home on senior night Nov. 1. The winner will host the SLIAC Tournament Nov. 4 and will claim the regular season title.
