Westminster Volleyball Competes for SLIAC Title, Honors Senior Hannah Marshall

FULTON, Mo. – Westminster women's volleyball will compete for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season title in a showdown against Webster Wednesday in the Historic Gym at 7 p.m. The team will honor its lone senior, Hannah Marshall, before the game.

In her four years at Westminster, Marshall has put herself atop the record books. Some of her records include the record for kills in a career (1,284) and season as a sophomore (485), aces in a season 81), kills in a four-set match (22), kills in a five-set match (27), aces in a three-set match(10).

She is also the top three in Westminster history in three-set hitting percentage (.818), kills in a three-set match (17), aces in a five-set match (5), kills in a season as a junior (410), and aces in a season (67). Hannah is a member of both the 100 aces club and the 1,000 kills club. In her sophomore season, she ended the year fifth across all divisions in the NCAA in aces.

Marshall was named the SLIAC Player of the Year as a sophomore and is a two-team SLIAC first team All-Conference selection. She is also a three-time SLIAC Player of the Week selection.

She has played in 120 matches and 441 sets in a Westminster uniform, totaling 1,284 kills, 239 aces, 658 digs, and 95 blocks.

An exercise science and nutrition major, Hannah plans to attend graduate school for physical therapy upon graduation.

The winner of the Webster vs Westminster game will claim the regular season title as well as the rights to host the SLIAC Tournament Saturday, Nov. 4.
