Westminster Volleyball Earns Conference Win at Spalding

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Westminster volleyball took a win at Spalding to earn their eighth conference victory.

Westminster also took a loss to NAIA opponent 3-0. 

The Blue Jays are 10-5 overall after the weekend and 8-1 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

In the first match of the day against Spalding, Westminster dominated the first two sets to go up 2-0. They faltered in the second set, with Spalding earning a 25-13 win. The Blue Jays recovered to finish out the win 25-20. 

Allie Kennebeck led the way in kills with 13 followed by Teresa Becker with 12. Jill Reando assisted on 34 of the 47 kills, while Bridget Ringwald dominated the defense with 41 kills. 

Westminster lost the second set to non-conference opponent Indiana-Southeast 3-0. 

Becker led the offense with eight kills, while Reando added 22 assists. Ringwald added 19 kills.

The Blue Jays return home Wednesday to face MacMurray at 7 p.m.
