Westminster Volleyball Sweeps MacMurray

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster volleyball tallied a clean 3-0 sweep against MacMurray to improve to 9-1 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

The Blue Jays still sit in first place in the SLIAC at 9-1, will Greenville closely behind at 8-1. 

The Blue Jays stayed consistent across three sets, winning 25-16, and 25-17 in the final two. 

Sarah Rivers led the offense for Westminster, talling a team and game-high 10 kills from the middle. Jill Reando assisted on 25 of the team's 29 kills while Bridget Ringwald remained consistent for the defense with 15 digs. 

"We are coming together as a group and finding out who we are as a program," said Westminster Head Coach Natalia Koryzna. "We played well as a team, trusted each other, and gained some confidence today. We worked hard and it showed."

Westminster goes on the road to face Principia and Iowa Wesleyan Friday in Eureka, Illinois.
