Four Named to All-Conference Teams for Westminster Volleyball

ST. LOUIS – Westminster volleyball placed four student-athletes on All-Conference teams for their work on the court this season.

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced that Natalie Needy was named to the All-Conference first team, Bridget Ringwald and Sarah Rivers were named to the second team, and Teresa Becker was named to the third team.

The first team nod is the first for Needy, who was named to the third team last season. Needy led the team in kills with 272, which was good enough for fourth in the conference. Needy was also a terror at the net, recording a team-high 76 blocks, including 24 solo. Her .075 blocks per set was fifth-best in the SLIAC.

The second team selection for Ringwald is her second consecutive. Ringwald had a standout season at libero for the Blue Jays, breaking the career digs record to go over 2,000 for her four seasons. Her 582 digs this season is good enough for second-best all-time at Westminster, and third in the SLIAC. She's recorded 5.76 digs per set, which was third in the conference.

Rivers second team selection is her first All-Conference award in her career. She added 229 kills this season for third-best on the team, while her .267 hitting percentage was best on the team and second-best in the conference. Rivers was second on the team in blocks with 55, which included 18 solo blocks, for a 0.54 blocks per set.

The third team pick for Becker is the second in her career after being named to the second team as a setter in 2017. Becker was the ultimate utility player for the Blue Jays this season, recording significant stats in almost every category. She added 161 kills, 157 assists, 235 digs, and 17 blocks this season to put her in the top five for the team in each statistical category.

Ringwald was also named to the All-Sportsmanship team for her exemplary display of sportsmanship during the season.
