GREENCASTLE, Ind, - Westminster volleyball opened up the DePauw tournament with a 3-0 loss to Elmhurst.

Westminster falls to 1-4 on the year, with all five matches being decided in three sets.

After Elmhurst, also the Bluejays, came out with a strong start to take an immediate 25-11 win, Westminster gathered themselves for a comeback in set two.

Despite their highest offensive scoring effort in the second set, it wasn't enough to overcome Elmhurst, with the Westminster Blue Jays falling 25-18.

Unable to regain their footing, Elmhurst topped Westminster 25-12 to take the win in the third set.

Ashley Kistaitis led the offense with seven kills, while Teresa Becker made 13 assists. Erica Schrader led the defense with 13 digs, followed by a double-digit effort from both Kistaitis and Becker with 10.

Westminster plays two more matches Saturday at Depauw, facing Whitman and Aurora.
