Dickneite, Kuykendall Named Westminster Male and Female Senior Athletes of the Year

FULTON, Mo. - Alex Dickneite and Jessie Kuykendall were named this year's Male and Female Senior Athletes of the Year for their performances in athletics, the classroom, and on campus over their four years as Blue Jays.

Dickneite is a four-year letter-winner for the Westminster baseball team. In his sophomore year, he earned a spot on the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Third Team for his on-field performance. He's also been named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship team for his senior season and is a two-time selection for the SLIAC All-Academic Team (note that 2019 spring All-Academic teams will be announced at the end of this month).

Along with his stellar performance on the mound for the Blue Jays, Dickneite boasts a 3.78 grade point average in business administration. He is a member of Delta Tau Delta.

Jessie Kuykendall is the most decorated runner to come through Westminster, holding eight individual titles between track and cross country. This year, she won her third straight SLIAC cross country title, a first for any runner in the conference. Along with her three cross country titles, Kuykendall has won five track titles in the 10K and 5K. She's also been named the SLIAC Runner of the Week 11 times in her career and holds the Westminster records in the 5K and 10K.

A psychology major, Kuykendall holds a 3.65 grade point average and plans to work with special needs youth after graduation.
