Sports Medicine and Performance

The mission of our athletic training program is to maintain a high standard of care for all of our athletic programs and ultimately help injured or ill student-athletes return to participation quickly and safely.

Athletic training services are provided for student-athletes at Westminster College in a full-service athletic training facility. The Wetterau Center athletic training room is equipped with treatment and rehabilitation equipment, as well as a variety of tape and first-aid supplies.

Ryan Novatny is the Director of Sports Medicine and Performance at Westminster College. He provides care for the student-athletes involved in Westminster intercollegiate athletics. He also creates injury-prevention and sports-performance weight training programs for the Blue Jays.

The weight room is equipped with eight Olympic squat racks and platforms, as well as a 20-yard lane of turf for plyometrics, speed, and acceleration work.
