Title: Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach

Charlie Thompson was named as an assistant coach for the Westminster Women’s Soccer program in August 2024.

Thompson comes to Westminster with over 10 years of coaching experience at the club and collegiate levels. In 2014 Thompson began coaching soccer in Mid-Missouri and currently works with girls for local power-house Sporting Columbia. His teams have compiled a 163-53-42 record, made multiple Missouri State semifinal and final appearances, and won the USYS National League Championships in 2023 and 2024. In 2019, Thompson began as an assistant soccer coach for Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. During his time at Stephens, Thompson helped lead the Stars program to 3 consecutive AMC tournament appearances, their highest regular season finish, and their first semifinal appearance in program history (2022).

Charlie Thompson resided in Columbia, Missouri with his wife Sarah and two children Eloise and Noah. He holds a BFA from The Ohio State University–in 2011 and an MFA from the University of Missouri–in 2014.
