Westminster Falls in Tight Match Against Fontbonne

Westminster Men's Tennis dropped its SLIAC home opener Sunday against the Fontbonne Griffins by a close score of 5-4.

The Blue Jays fall to 0-3 overall on the season (0-2 in SLIAC).

In singles, the matches resulted in a dead-even split, with both teams taking three matches. For the Blue Jays, Joshua Udinyiwe and Mike Rois took home straight-set victories in their matches, while Brandon Rettke won his match in a three-set thriller.

In doubles, the duo of Giovanni Strickland and Nick Lakowski won their match by a final score of 8-6. 

Westminster will continue its conference season Tuesday, April 9th, when they travel to Greenville University to face the Panthers. The match is set to start at 4:00pm.
