Westminster Men’s, Women’s XC Teams Compete in Principia College’s Cowbell Classic

ELSAH, Ill.— Freshman Sam Moore led the way for the Westminster College men's cross country team Saturday at the Principia College Cowbell Classic. Moore completed the 8K course at the North Farm XC Facility with a time of 18:58.26 to finish in 55th place.

Olivet Nazarene University won the race with a score of 23 points, followed by William Woods University with 56.

Also placing for the Blue Jays were sophomore Joseph Labitska (63rd, 32:20.53), sophomore Brian Sellenriek (79th, 39:11.80) and freshman Bill Murphy (81st, 40:13.07).

In the women's race, junior Charley Blair finished the 6K race with a time of 28:06.20 to finish in 45th place.

The Blue Jays return to action on October 27 when Westminster travels to Litchfield, Ill., for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships.
