FULTON, Mo. – Senior Madison Washington was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team along with seven other Blue Jays who earned All-Conference nods.
Mikala Guthrie, Lauren Huskey, and Mackenzie Myers were named to the Second Team. Madison Ingram, Hannah Schroeder, and Taylor White earned Third Team nods.
Abbey Jaspering was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
Washington earned the First Team selection for the first time in her career, after earning a spot on the Third Team and All-Tournament Team a season ago. The senior posted an average of .439 on the year, including a team-leading .636 slugging percentage, which was good enough for seventh in the conference.
Guthrie was another of the team's power hitters, posting a slugging percentage of .623 for ninth-best in the conference. Her .493 average on the year was the third-best in the league, as was her .544 on-base percentage.
Lauren Huskey was a solid presence for the Blue Jays at the plate as well, posting a .380 average which was third on the team with players over 10 at-bats. Huskey was tied for third on the team in runs batted in with 16.
Mackenzie Myers proved to be one of the Blue Jays' most reliable fielders, a staple in the Blue Jay outfield. She also added an average of .313, and drove in 12 RBI. This is the third straight season Myers has been named to an All-Conference team, after two Third Team selections in 2017 and 2018. Myers was also a 2018 All-Tournament team pick.
Madison Ingram, the Blue Jay ace this season on the mound, posted six wins and seven complete games, including four shutouts. She was seventh in the league in ERA with 3.71, and third in the league in strikeouts with 73. This is the second All-Conference selection for Ingram, who was named to the Third Team in 2018.
Hannah Schroeder led the Blue Jays in home runs with five, and RBI with 22, including a grand slam this year. She also led the team in both hits with 35 and at bats with 100.
Taylor White proved to be one of the best defensive players for Westminster at second base, with 41 putouts and 43 assists. The junior posted an average of .337 this season, including 12 RBI and a team-leading five triples and 12 stolen bases. This is the second All-Conference nod for White, who was a Second Team pick last season when she was on the roster at Webster.
Abbey Jaspering earned a spot on the All-Sportsmanship team for her exemplary display of sportsmanship throughout the season.
