Keener Tippin joined the Westminster women's basketball staff in July 2017.  He took a short absence during the 2020-21 season but returns this year to the Blue Jay bench.

In 2017-18 the Blue Jays recorded the top three records for points in a game in school history, while improving the win total from the 2016-17 season. The squad reached the SLIAC Tournament title game for the fourth time in school history, becoming the first-ever No. 4 seed in the tournament to upset the top seed and advance to the championship. The team was ranked No. 2 nationally in offensive rebounding.  The Blue Jays also ranked No. 17 on the WBCA Academic Honor Roll.

Kendahl Adams was named to the SLIAC All-Conference first team and the D3Hoops.com All-Region team. She set records for points in a season, field goals in a season, and rebounds in a season. Freshman Grace Archambault was named the Newcomer of the Year.

Prior, he was the girls’ basketball Head Coach at Douglas High School in Columbia, Mo., from 2010-12.

Tippin has also coached and been part of the athletic department at Tolton Catholic High School and Rock Bridge High School. From 2010-12, he also served as a graduate assistant in the athletic department at Stephens College, overseeing the sports media department.

Tippin has also directed a club girls’ basketball team since 2000 known as the Lady Deuces and Young Deuces, establishing competitive teams for girls in grade 3-12. 

Tippin received his bachelor's degree from Lincoln in 1984, and has since received two master's degree from William Woods and Columbia College.
