Jackson, Zemianek Shoot Career Lows at SLIAC Women's Golf Championship

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - Makayla Jackson and Bailee Zemianek shot career lows for a two-day event at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Women's Golf Championship.

Jackson shot a 233 and Zemianek shot a 243 over 36 holes.

"I'm super excited and pumped for the progress the ladies made in day two and already this season," said Westminster Head Coach James Arnold. "I can't say enough about Makayla and Bailee and how much they have approved. Both of them had career bests on day two and career bests for 36."

After one day of competition, Rebecca Roth was sitting in 11th place after shooting a 100, but unfortunately had to withdraw from the tournament after day two.

"It is unfortunate we weren't able to compete as a team on day two because we were in a battle for third place but we are excited for the opportunity Rebecca has professionally and just thankful she was able to be with us on Monday," said Arnold.

Connar Hadley was the top finisher for Westminster, finishing in 16 and shooting 223.

In addition, Jackson was named to the All-Sportsmanship team for the Blue Jays.
