The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced the 2015 SLIAC Awards and All-Conference teams following the Championship game on Saturday, November 11. Westminster's sophomore Abby Rockers was named the SLIAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year for the second year and Head Coach Jen Dyson was named the 2015 Coach of the Year. The Blue Jays had a record number of individuals on the All-Conference lists with six.
Coach Dyson guided her team to an 11-6-2 record on the season, ending conference play with a 7-2 record and a third place finish.
Rockers and sophomore Morgan Henry earned First Team All-Conference Honors. Freshman Courtney Whitlock was a Second Team All-Conference recipient. Senior Eileen Koppy, senior Katie Koonce and junior Ellen Woolsey each grabbed a spot on the Third Team All-Conference.
Rockers, a sophomore defender from Jefferson City, Mo., earned the Player of the Year honor and a spot on the All-Conference First Team. She
Henry, a sophomore midfielder from Camdenton, Mo., earned a spot on the SLIAC All-Conference First Team. She leads the team with 12 goals and has a .622 shot-on-goal percentage. She scored the game-winning goal against Millikin.
Whitlock, a freshman midfielder from Springfield, Mo., was placed on the SLIAC All-Conference Second Team. She leads the Blue Jays with 25 points and nine assists, ranking third in the SLIAC for assists. Of her eight goals scored this season, four of them have been game-winners. She has a .633 shot-on-goal percentage in her 16 games played.
Koppy, a senior midfielder from St. Louis, Mo., Koonce, a senior defender from Norman, Okla., and Woolsey, a junior goalkeeper from Marshall, Mo., each were SLIAC All-Conference Third Team recipients.
Koppy started in all 17 games. She has posted three goals and five assists on the season with one game-winning goal.
Koonce started in all 17 games and was a major part of the Blue Jays defense, helping the team to a 1.09 goals-against average and just 19 goals allowed.
Woolsey has played in over 1,380 minutes this season and has posted 10 wins on the season with four shutouts. She holds a 1.11 goals-against record for the season, ranking second in the conference. She holds a .757 save percentage with 53 saves on the season, and she broke the career wins record in the semifinals of the SLIAC Tournament.
Senior Brittany Paglusch was the member from the Blue Jay squad named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. One individual from each school is selected by the coach and players to be on the team.
