Westminster Women's Soccer Blanks Blackburn

FULTON, Mo. – The Westminster women's soccer team shutout the Blackburn Beavers 2-0 on Saturday to improve to 3-8-2 overall and 3-1-1 in conference games.

Natalie Schulte scored a goal in the 34th minute to give the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead. Westminster led the Beavers 1-0 at the half after recording 21 shots in the period.

Schulte scored her second goal of the game in the 78th minute to give the Blue Jays a more comfortable 2-0 lead. With her two goals today Schulte now has seven goals on the season. This was her third game with multiple goals on the year.

The Westminster offense dominated time of possession and only allowed a single shot by the Beavers. Kelsey Gordan led the Blue Jays with 11 shots while Schulte recorded seven shots.

Sarah Cradick plated all 90 minutes in goal for the Blue Jays and made a save on the only shot she faced. Cradick has not allowed a goal in the 373.24 minutes, dating back to the 6:36 mark inWestminster's 3-1 win over Spalding on Oct. 9th.

The Blue Jays return to action Wednesday afternoon when they play MacMurray on the road.
