MARSHALL, Mo. – The Westminster women's wrestling team opened their inaugural season on Sunday at the Missouri Valley Open hosted by Missouri Valley College.

In the first match in program history Taylor Reed was pinned by Ophelia Lara from Emmanuel College. Reed received a bye in the first consolation round and faced Hunter Robinson of Grand View University in the second round. Reed lost by fall one minute and 13 seconds into the match. 

The Blue Jays will return to action when they take on Fontbonne at home on December 4th.
