Kory Wilson Named Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach

Fulton, Mo. 8/24/2023 - Westminster College is pleased to announce that Kory Wilson has joined the Blue Jays as the Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach.

Hunter Briggs, Head Cross Country and Track & Field Head Coach, said he is excited to have Kory joining the Westminster coaching staff. "Coach Wilson is committed to a well-rounded student-athlete experience and passionate about the sport. I am confident he will be able to help us grow the cross country and track program."

Before joining the Blue Jays coaching staff, Wilson, a native of Coweta, Oklahoma, completed a bachelor's degree in Sports Management with a minor in Strategic Communications at Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma. While at Rogers State, Wilson was a member of the cross country and track teams.

As an athlete, Wilson's primary event focus was the 5K and 10K. While competing for the Hillcats in cross country, Wilson posted top 10 times in both the 8K and 10K. On the track, he posted the top 10 times in events 1500m-10K. In addition to being a student-athlete, Wilson interned in sports information for three years in the Rogers State University Athletic Department.

Upon graduation from Rogers State University, Wilson was named a Distinguished Graduate after placing on multiple Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletic Association honor rolls and receiving a D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.
