Blue Jays Ranked for the First Time In AVCA NCAA Division III National Coaches Poll

Fulton, Mo. – The accolades just keep rolling in for Head Coach Natalia Koryzna and her Westminster College Blue Jays volleyball team.  They have garnered three out of the six possible players of the week from the SLIAC and now their undefeated start to the season has grabbed national attention. The Blue Jays debuted at #18 in the first American Volleyball Coaches of America NCAA Division III Coaches Top 25 Poll of the season.

This is the first time the program has been nationally ranked.  The Blue Jays showed last season they were a program on the rise, winning the SLIAC Post Season Tournament and earning a berth in the NCAA Tournament.  The Jays have kept the momentum as they have started this season 5-0 and lead the SLIAC conference race.

The Blue Jays are joined in the rankings by fellow SLIAC member Greenville University, who checked in at #25 in the poll.  This is the first time in history that any SLIAC volleyball programs have been recognized by the AVCA.

The Blue Jays are back in action this weekend on the road at Eureka College on Saturday February 27th.
First serve is set for 3:00 p.m.
