ST. PAUL, Minn. – Ayo Oyesanya was named the UMAC Most Valuable Lineman along with six other Blue Jays receiving All-Conference Honors.

Bret Robertson was named First Team All-Conference Defense, Matt Quarles was named First Team All-Conference Special Teams as a kick returner and punt returner, Trent White, Latif Adams, and Mike Washington earned Second Team All-Conference Offense honors, and Anthony Washington earned Second Team All-Conference Defense.

White also was given the All-Sportsmanship Award.

Oyesanya helped the Blue Jays rank third in the UMAC for scoring defense (18.0 ppg allowed) and third in both pass (176.1 yards per game) and rush defense (141.4 yards per game). Individually, the senior lineman ranked fifth in sacks (5.5) and led the league in tackles for a loss (15.5). His 12 solo tackles for a loss were also a league best. He tallied 51 total tackles and forced two fumbles in conference games.

Robertson was fourth in the conference in total sacks with 86 and fifth in tackles per game with 5.6. He recorded 2.5 sacks during the season and two fumble recoveries and two interceptions. This is the second time in his career that Robertson was named to an All-Conference team.

Quarles led the UMAC in yards per return with 26.7 and was second in total yards per return with 454. He was fifth in the conference in all-purpose yards with 1,071. This is his second year in a row being named to an All-Conference team.

Adams also was named to an All-Conference team for the second year in a row. He was third in the UMAC in rushing yards per game with 100.1 and third in total rushing yards with 1,001, which was his second season breaking the 1,000 rushing yards mark. He was also third in touchdowns with 11.

White made his name as a multi-dimensional quarterback who can score in a variety of ways, earning himself a spot on the Second Team Offense. He led the conference in total yards per game with 244, and total yards with 2,440. He was fifth in the conference in total rushing yards with 634. He threw for 10 touchdowns while rushing for four.

Mike Washington was named to an All-Conference team for the fourth time in his career, the only UMAC player to do so. He was sixth in the league with 616 receiving yards (61.6 yards per game) and ninth with 37 receptions. His 90-yard touchdown reception was the longest catch reception in the UMAC.

Anthony Washington was named to an All-Conference team for the first time as a defensive back. He tallied 28 tackles, two fumble recoveries, and seven pass breakups to add his name to the list.
