Fulton, Mo. - The Westminster College Blue Jay men's basketball team will be back at home on Saturday afternoon, looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season. Head Coach Matt Mitchell and his team will take the court against the defending SLIAC Champion Webster University Gorlocks. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m..

Taking a look at the Westminster College Blue Jays (1-1, 1-1 SLIAC):

• The Blue Jays are coming off a tough road loss at Iowa Wesleyan University 77-71.
• The Blue Jays are led in scoring by Jaxon Althaus at 15.0 PPG. Also, in double figures are  Braedan Wetrich at 13.0 PPG, Camron Jamison 11.0 PPG and Emil Spriggs 9.5 PPG.
• The Blue Jays top rebounders are Althause with 7.0 RPG, Harrison with 6.0 PPG and Spriggs with 4.5 RPG.
• Spriggs leads the team in assists with 3.5 APG.
• The all-time series between Westminster and Webster is 37-29 in favor of Webster.

 Taking a look at the Webster University Gorlocks (0-2, 0-1 SLIAC):

• Webster University was picked to finish third in the SLIAC Pre-season Coaches Poll.
• The Gorlocks are led in scoring by Rodson Etienne at 22.0 PPG followed by Wynne Brown Jr. at 15.5 PPG. Markus Becton is also in double figures with 10.5 PPG and Connor Dieker with 10.0 PPG.
• The Gorlocks leading rebounders are Javane Nugent at 10.0 RPG and Etienne with 7.0 RPG
• The Gorlocks leading assist man is Wynn Brown Jr. with 5.5 APG.
• Brown, Jr. also leads the Gorlocks in steals with 2.0 SPG
