Women's Soccer Selected 4th in SLIAC Pre-season Coaches Poll.

Fulton, Mo.—The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has released its 2021 Women's Soccer Preseason Poll and the Blue Jays collected 33 points in the poll good for a predicted fourth place finish. Webster University was barely tabbed the pre-season favorites garnering three first place votes and 45 poll points.  Greenville University finished just behind Webster with 43 points but actually received more first place votes with four. Fontbonne University came in at third just in front of the Blue Jays with 39 poll points and the last remaining first place vote.  Spalding University was voted fifth place with 25 points.  Blackburn College followed them in sixth place with 17 points.   Iowa Wesleyan University in seventh and Eureka College in eighth with 13 points and nine points respectively rounded out the poll

Along with the team recognition, three Blue Jays found themselves recognized as players to watch this season. Alaina Allsbury, Maddy LawtonAbbey Montana and Natalie Schulte were all named to the 2021 SLIAC Preseason Watch List.

Head Coach Wendy Sanchez and her Blue Jays will kick off their long awaited season on Saturday, March 13th in St. Louis at Fontbonne University. The kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.  The entire women's soccer schedule can be found HERE.  

At this time due to COVID-19 concerns, there will be no spectators allowed at any Westminster College home outdoor sporting events (Softball, Baseball, Soccer, Tennis and Football).
